      • Saturday, January 3, January 9, 2026 The Sistine Chapel will close to the public from 2:00 PM, with last entrance at 1:00 PM. Saturday, January 10, 2026 The Sistine Chapel will close to the public from 12:00 PM, with last entrance at 11:00 AM.
      • Name on the ticket: All entrance tickets must be purchased in the name of the visitor. It is mandatory to ensure that the name entered during the booking process matches the visitor's identification. Regardless of the purchaser, the ticket must be in the visitor's name to be valid for entry.
      • Security: Visitors must pass through airport-style security. The wait at the security checkpoint can last more than 30 minutes, depending on Vatican security.
      • We inform you that from January 12 to March 31, extraordinary maintenance work will take place on Michelangelo’s Last Judgment in the Sistine Chapel. For this reason, scaffolding will be installed and will cover the entire wall during this period.
      • Please exchange your Viator voucher for the official entry ticket at our meeting point located at Vicolo del Farinone 23, Rome. Directions: From Ottaviano metro station (Line A), walk along Via Ottaviano towards Piazza Risorgimento, then turn right onto Via di Porta Angelica. After entering Piazza San Pietro, take the first left into Vicolo del Farinone. The address number 23 will be on your left-hand side.
